_______________

New Regency and Ubisoft have added Marion Cotillard to the cast of the upcoming adaptation of the video game Assassin’s Creed, starring Michael Fassbender.

Cotillard worked with Fassbender before in the yet-t0-be-released Macbeth from the Weinstein Company. Both films have Justin Kurzel as director, so the upcoming Assassin’s Creed will be somewhat of a reunion for everyone. Production begins this fall with an eye toward a release on December 21, 2016. This puts it in direct competition with the stand-alone Star Wars film that recently added Felicity Jones to the cast.

No word on which character she’ll play, but since she’s set for multiple films if the first one does well, perhaps she’ll be playing Elise?
