The Up:

Simon Helberg from The Big Bang Theory and his wife Jocelyn Towne made a deal with Warner Bros. Television. The two will develop new series through their production banner, Wildline Entertainment.

Variety reports, “We grew up in an era when people watched television on something called a ‘television.’ Today there is more opportunity than ever to be personal and daring in TV, and we’re ecstatic to partner up with Warner Bros. to do just that,” said Helberg.

Helberg and Towne are developing a comedy that Helberg is writing for WBTV, and they just got the rights to Legacy of Kings. It’s a story about Alexander the Great, from author Eleanor Herman’s Blood of Gods and Royals series.

The Down:

Christopher Klausen, the former Second Assistant Director of The Big Bang Theory, Warner Bros. fired him because he had just turned fifty. According to Deadline, the suit filed against Warner Bros. says, “Mr. Klausen noticed that the stars of the show, which are all considerably younger, began to ostracize him after he turned 50.” Klausen was eventually fired over the fun after Season 8.

As of right now, Warner Bros. Television has no comment about the suit.
