Quite a bit of new stuff from Capcom, so let’s dive in.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is a reinterpretation of the events of the first game, telling things from the point-of-view of Frank West. This version introduces the Uranus Zone Amusement Park, a new Sandbox Mode, and plenty of technical upgrades.

Also available for the game is a new Cyborg Skills Pack. You can play Frank West as a cyborg and go to town against the zombies. According to Capcom, the pack includes:

The collection includes all three Devil May Cry games – Devil May Cry (2001), Devil May Cry 2 (2003), and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Special Edition (2006). All of the games have been upgraded to HD, giving players plenty of enhancement as they move Dante through the various environments of the action-packed series.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

At New York Comic Con, producer Ryota Niitsuma announced the “Heroes and Heralds” mode for game play in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It’s a new single player and multiplayer, team-based mode that allows players to use upgrade cards to unlock new abilities and customize your characters for the ultimate battle against (or for, if you prefer) the evil Galactus. There are twelve new characters in the game, a refined fighting system, and new stages and fight modes.

Street Fighter X Tekken

Also at NYCC, Street Fighter X Tekken producer Yoshinori Ono revealed the new Gem System, an all-new customizable power-up system that creates a new way for players to experience the Street Fighter and Tekken fighting systems. There will also be a special edition for North America that includes:

  • Build-It-Yourself Arcade Cabinet Bank (approximately 5”H)
  • Exclusive Prequel Comic Book by UDON
  • 36 Gems: Includes All Pre-Order Packs Plus An Exclusive Pack

The game is coming to XBox and Playstation in March 2012, with a PC version not far behind that.

Resident Evil Revelations

While waiting for the new game that streets February 2012, you can follow Milla Jovovich’s Twitter stream about her experiences shooting the new Resident Evil 4. The new game takes place in between the two new movies and follows Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield paired with new BSAA members Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat as they search for the truth about the Veltro terrorists and the T-Abyss virus.

Players will have to use the 3DS touch screen to work out solutions to the various scenarios in order to survive, including the use of the Genesis Scanner to scope out environments. New characters and further conspiracies are wrapped up in this game, available on the Nintendo 3DS February 7.
