Greg Grunberg Returns to HEROES
Entertainment Weekly reports that Greg Grunberg will reprise his role as telepathic cop Matt Parkman in Heroes Reborn.
Grunberg joins fellow original cast mates Masi Oka and Jack Coleman in the sequel series, which will air on Thursdays this fall on NBC. Grunberg will have a guest star arc, meaning he’s not a “series regular” as he was in the original show.
Grunberg has previously expressed interest in returning to Heroes, telling interviewer Rick Yaeger, “I’m excited as a fan, to see what happens. If I can be a part of this, I would jump at the chance…None of us have been notified. We have no idea what’s going on. They hinted that they might use some of the old characters to move story and plot. I think the fans or whoever was watching the show before, which was the world, really wants closure. I don’t know how they would do this without using some of the main characters. I hope that they include me.”
In the meantime, Grunberg has been busy with appearances on Showtime’s Masters of Sex and the ABC pilot Warriors, which didn’t get a series pickup. He’s also said to have a role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
