ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN Pilot Will be a Free Premiere Comic
As we mentioned in our latest issue of “Comic Con Carne”, Disney XD will be the home of the new Marvel animated block. Starting April 1,Ultimate Spider-Man will debut as part of the lineup.
Produced by Marvel Animation, the show follows Peter Parker as he joins a team of teenage superheroes as part of a S.H.I.E.L.D. operation. Juggling regular teen angst with superhero teen drama (with a little Nick Fury thrown in for good measure), the show will feature creative contributions from the likes of Joe Quesada, Paul Dini, the Man of Action team – Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle – and Brian Micheal Bendis.
As part of the run up to the series premiere, Marvel is issuing a special comic version of the pilot, using artwork from the show itself as the panels for the book. So what you see on the page is what you’ll see in the show – the same artwork, just re-formatted for print.
And it’s free, we hear.
