Relativity Acquires Spec SAM & LIZ
Relativity Media has acquired the sci-fi action spec script Sam & Liz: A Killer Love Story by Matthew Altman (Feed the Devil). Jon Shestack and Jim Wedaa are set to produce.
Logline: Sam is an average guy working a 9 to 5 job that he hates, wishing for a more exciting life. When he meets gorgeous thrill-seeker Liz, he gets more more than he bargained for. Together they go on a wild ride discovering that nothing they know about themselves is true and their connection to each other has surprising and deadly consequences.
Altman has a background working backstage on Broadway (the family business, as it were), and Feed the Devil is his only other full-length credit. He was among the top thirty semifinalists for the 2008 Nicholl fellowship and was a top four finalist in the Slamdance horror competition in 2010. He’s also been a finalist in the American Zoetrope, Script Pipeline, Creative World Awards and Page International Awards.
