The TV continuation of Minority Report now has the lead actors in its cast.
Meagan Good will star as Detective Lara Vega, a police officer haunted by her past, and she’s not afraid to break a few rules. She’ll lead the cast, which includes Laura Regan, Daniel London, and Li Jun Li.
Also coming on board in a dual lead role is Stark Sands, who will play twin Precogs Dash and Arthur. It is Dash who struggles to have a “normal” life after the end of the Precrime unit, but he remains haunted by visions of the future.
Not technically a reboot, the series picks up ten years after the events depicted in the movie directed by Steven Spielberg, whose Amblin TV is producing the series along with 20th Century Fox TV and Paramount TV. The pilot was written by Max Borenstein and will be directed by Mark Mylod.
Both movie and series are based on The Minority Report, a 1956 short story by Philip K. Dick first published in Fantastic Universe. The story follows a society where murders are prevented by mutants with precognitive abilities who can see crimes before they happen. When the chief of police is implicated in the murder of a man he’s not yet met, paradoxes and alternate timelines are the result.
