Marvel Alums Lyndsy Fonseca And Elizabeth Cappuccino Join Syfy’s THE HAUNTED
Syfy has signed Lyndsy Fonseca and Elizabeth Cappuccino to star in their new drama pilot, The Haunted.
The Haunted is one of three dramas author James Frey’s Full Fathom Five sold through his Universal Cable Productions deal last year. It is about four siblings who reunite after their parent’s death. They must try to overcome their damaged personal relationships as they face the literal ghosts from their past in order to survive.

Cappuccino will play Fonseca’s sister, Hester Bradley, who is searching for a purpose and determined not to miss out on the fun. Her previous roles include young Jessica Jones in the Netflix series and Decpetion.
Noga Landau (The Magicians) penned the pilot and will also co-executive produced with James Frey and Todd Cohen.
Recently, Syfy has been making an effort to refocus on the more traditional science-fiction fare, like Battlestar Galactica. They have found success with The Magicians, 12 Monkeys, and Killjoys, with anthology Channel Zero released in October and Incorporated set for this fall.
While Frey was once blasted by Oprah Winfrey for faking parts of his memoir (for which she later apologized), UCP executive vice president of development, Dawn Olmstead, states “James Frey and the team at Full Fathom Five are a tour de force for finding and creating innovative television. This collaboration allows us to tap into the e-books they publish, the mind and work of James Frey, and their talent for spotting ideas that make great TV shows.”
Five-year-old Full Fathom Five are behind the best-sellers I Am Number Four and Endgame: The Calling, as well as his just published Endgame sequel, Sky Key.
