Young Han Solo Found for STAR WARS Prequel
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (The LEGO Movie), at the helm of the solo Star Wars film to feature a young Han Solo, have selected Alden Ehrenreich to play the young smuggler.
As we reported on Salacious Crumbs, Ehrenreich has been the front-runner for some time now, beating out over 2,500 other candidates for the role.
Scheduled for release in 2018, the solo Han Solo movie will focus on events in the time between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars … OK. OK. A New Hope, for some of you. You can bet Chewbacca will make an appearance, likely played by Joonas Suotamo, the Finnish basketball player who played the role in the more active scenes of The Force Awakens, taking over for Peter Mayhew.
According to reports, Ehrenreich is currently in final negotiations for the part, and of course there are no plot details as of yet. But it will no doubt include Boba Fett and a certain card game with young Lando Calrissian.
Are you looking forward to this film? Or was A.C. Crispin’s Han Solo Trilogy enough for you?
