In celebration of Star Trek‘s 45th anniversary, the Science Channel has announced the air date for Trek Nation, the documentary produced by Rod Roddenberry. Gene’s son dives into the world of Trek in a collection of interviews and clips from the franchise’s storied history, and shows the son exploring the legacy of the father. And Nike has confirmed it will be selling a limited edition version of its “power laces” shoe seen in Back to the Future Part II. There will be 1,500 pairs made, and all will be auctioned off on eBay, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
