The Geekly with a Twist: September 14th-20th

Woohoo! It’s Friday! After an insane week, I can say happily that all of my bills are taken care of, my work is done, and it’s time to focus on that ever-important geeky responsibility, The Geekly. Now, I know what you all are thinking: but what about your trip to Barsoom Utah?! Well, I’m having some technology issues on that one. Mainly, I can’t find my camera cord. I’ll take care of it soon. Sorry, guys. You all love me anyways, right? Okay! No more stalling…onward with the history!

And, of course, for your weekly libations, let’s Twist this week in style with a Pavel Chekov?

  • Vodka (Russian)
  • Vodka (Russian)
  • Vodka (Russian)

Mix all ingredients and enjoy! You have to pronounce it “wodka” and garnish with some snarky comments from friends.

Well, to Garnish your week, how about a bit of retail therapy? While Debbie’s got us covered for those of the cute level-one-and-crawling variety, how about something for the grown-ups? Maybe you’ve already seen this shop, maybe you already stalk me on Etsy, but OH MY GOD I NEED IT ALL!

There’s just about anything for any fan, from Doctor Who to Batman, Dungeons & Dragons to Invader Zim…bracelets, keychains, earrings, and more…and all for reasonable prices! I love the idea of these for my Halloween costume, but I’m dying for a pair of these (imagine that) and these in purple (big surprise!). So, head on over, open up your checkbook, and tell ’em AJ sent ya!

So, I’ve got a million things to get done now that we’re hitting the weekend. Until next week, geek on!
