THE DROPS OF GOD Manga to be Fully Translated on ComiXology
Popular manga series Drops of God is finally getting a fully finished, official English translation, for the first time.
Eleven issues of this internationally best selling series are available on the comiXology Originals line right now, with thirty-three more issues to be released at a later date. You can also get this series on Kindle and Amazon Prime, the latter of which will not cost you any more money. The first eight volumes, which have been previously translated into English, will feature new cover art. Thirty-four of the series’ forty-four volumes are being translated by Kodansha Comics for the first time.
The story follows a young man who must compete against an experienced wine critic in wine tasting so that he may inherit his father’s wine collection. The competition is focused around identifying thirteen bottles of wine, twelve of which are known as the “Twelve Apostles”, while the last one goes by the name “Drops of God”. The series has found international success both financially and critically, appearing on the New York Times bestseller’s list many times, the New York Times 2011 Holiday Gift Guide, and the series even made About.com’s Best New Manga list of 2011.
