Sci-Fi Drama ANOTHER LIFE Gets Netflix Release Date
From the mind of the writer of hits such as Slasher and Killjoy is a new series about a group of astronauts searching for intelligent life among the stars.
Another Life is the latest in a line of highly anticipated sci-fi original series from Netflix. The series is being produced by Noreen Halpern, who is known for producing the comedy series Call Me Fitz. The cast includes Katee Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica fame, along with Samuel Anderson (Trollied), Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead), Jessica Camacho (The Flash), Alex Ozerov (Orphan Black), Jake Abel (Supernatural), Barbara Williams (Rookie Blue), Tyler Hoechlin (Supergirl), Justin Chatwin (Shameless), and Selma Blair of Kath and Kim fame.
The show centers around astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff), who is focused on a search for alien intelligence. She and her crew investigate an alien artifact, only to face a danger on what could end up being a one-way mission.
The project is set to release on July 25th, 2019. While not much has been said about finer details of the plot of this show, Netflix has been a trendsetter when it comes to original content-the success of Bird Box alone is proof of that. Hopefully, Netflix can keep their streak going and make this new show one to remember.
