Josh Brolin to Play Thanos: Confirmed
UPDATE: Variety has confirmed with their sources, that Brolin will be playing Thanos, although the news has yet to hit Marvel’s web site.
Latino Review is reporting that Josh Brolin has been chosen to voice Thanos in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, which is due out August 1st.
The Mad Titan was seen at the end of The Avengers, along with a mention of courting “death” (or Death?), and it seems likely the connection between the cosmic side of the MCU and the Earth-bound side has just become a little stronger. Does this mean a culmination of stories in Avengers 3 down the line? Too soon to tell.
Variety has picked up the story, although there’s no confirmation from Marvel. We’ve reached out to our contacts, and will update accordingly.
