HAVEN Adds Laura Mennell
Syfy has announced the addition of Laura Mennell (Alphas, The Watchmen) to the cast of Haven, which will be back for a fifth season.
Mennell will play recurring character Dr. Erin Reid, described as “a worldly scientist whose focus is investigating the diseases that plague mankind” and “a force to be reckoned with”. Reid is an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control, and she unknowingly uncovers a genetic marker found in Troubled people, leading residents to believe a cure might be possible.
Based on the novella The Colorado Kid by Stephen King, Haven is coming off a fourth season rating bump — up 11% among adults 18-34. Season five, which will get twenty-six episodes, is currently filming in Nova Scotia.
