From the Editor 3.26.11 – PLANET COMICON

I’ve decided to start tracking these by date instead of by which number it is in the sequence. My grey matter switchboard is just not up to keeping track, but I think this is #3 since switching over to the new format.

First day of PLANET COMICON 2011 was a blast! All sorts of costumes this year. I saw several really good Iron Man outfits, War Machine, Batman, Batgirl, Batwoman, the Tenth Doctor, Cyborg, Hawkgirl, Supergirl, the Question, the Joker, Harley Quinn, several H.A.L.O. troopers, a very good Mr. Freeze, a very slinky female Han Solo, and of course, the 501st and Madalorians.

Lots of people out this first day, despite a little precipitation coming down in cold weather (which always seems to be the case), and everyone seemed to have a good time.

Panels today included two that I had the good fortune to moderate – the Boba Fett panel with Jeremy Bulloch and Daniel Logan, and a conversation with Alaina Huffman. And yes, we taped them, so be looking for them shortly.

I’m looking forward to the panel with Lindsay Wagner tomorrow. And of course, sharing all of it with you guys next week! So make sure you stay tuned!

  • Who you callin’ slinky-lookin? ๐Ÿ™‚
Glad my Han costume got a second use (it was just for Halloween) and that it was such a hit. The Boba panel was amazing and I can’t wait for next year!

    • Thanks! All of the panels went really well this year, I thought. We’ll have video up soon.

Next year is going to be even more of a blast.

    • Point. There were plenty of Rebels and Jedi in attendance as well. With cool lightsabers. And droids. ๐Ÿ™‚
