ARROW-FLASH Spinoff Has a Heat Wave
Dominic Purcell is the latest name on the list for the cast of the new spinoff in the Arrow/Flash TV universe. He’ll reprise his role as pyromaniac Mick Rory as a regular on the new show.
Also known as Heat Wave, Rory is partners with Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, and this has teamed Purcell with his fellow Prison Break castmate Wentworth Miller as Snart. Also on the show: Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, Victor Garber as Marin Stein, and Caity Lotz as… well, we don’t know that yet, but it’s assumed among fans that she’ll somehow be back as Sara Lance. Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen on Arrow) has confirmed that the Lazarus Pit exists in this story universe, so it’s likely she’ll be coming back from the dead.
Producer Greg Berlanti also says the show will include a female hero who will be new to television. “I think it’s really important that we have another female hero on the show, and this one is really exciting. I can’t wait for people to find out — we just have to cast it right, as always. And then you want that Rat Pack-y kind of vibe of all this crew hanging out, as disparate and as different as they are.”
The show will also introduce a well-known villain to the television universe as well, although there’s no word on who that will be yet.
