2022 World Fantasy Award Winners Announced
During the 2022 World Fantasy Convention in New Orleans, LA, the winners were announced for the 2022 World Fantasy Awards. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in fantasy fiction published during the previous calendar year and is overseen by the WFC.
In addition to the awards, there were two recipients of Lifetime Achievement awards, Samuel Delany and Terri Windling. Delany is a Hugo and Nebula Award winning author and literary critic who was named the Science Fiction Writers of America’s 30th Grand Master. He’s also a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. Windling is known for helping to revive the “mythic fiction” in the 1980s with her work editing anthologies of magical fiction. She and Ellen Datlow edited sixteen volumes of Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror. In addition to her work as an editor, Windling’s also an author and artist.
