Welcome Back to JURASSIC PARK: Dern, Neill, Goldblum to Return

Colin Trevorrow has announced that Jurassic World 3 will bring back fan favorites from Jurassic Park.

At a Tuesday night screening hosted by Collider at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, Trevorrow stayed for a Q&A with fans. Laura Dern was also present, and the two announced that her character, Dr. Ellie Satler, would be back for the next installment for the franchise. On top of that, they shared that both Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum would also reprise their characters. Trevorrow also said that these would be significant roles, not just cameos.

The news follows the short film Battle at Big Rock, which takes place a year after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Trevorrow will once again direct from a script he’s co-writing with Emily Carmichael. Plot details are, naturally, under wraps. The next installment in the franchise stomps into theaters June 11, 2021.

  • Do we think they can resurrect this franchise? The first film worked for the wonder of seeing that first dinosaur and Spielberg’s relentless use of the reaction shot. Can we still marvel at a dinosaur on screen, or have we become too jaded?
Really just happy to see Dern back at it – “she’s tenacious”
