TOY STORY 4 Set for 2017
In a conference call with Wall Street investment analysts, Disney chairman Bob Iger shared the news that Toy Story 4 is now in the works, with John Lasseter returning to direct.
Lasseter currently serves as chief creative officer at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and DisneyToon Studios. His directing credits include the first two Toy Story entries, as well as Cars and A Bug’s Life. He also has several writing and producing credits on a majority of the Pixar productions — the Toy Story series, the Cars franchise, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Meet the Robinsons, and The Incredibles, just to name a handful.
Iger also shared that a third Cars movie is moving forward, also with Lasseter at the helm.
Toy Story 3, directed by Lee Unkrich, earned nearly $1.1 billion. Disney’s most recent animated picture, Frozen, has earned nearly $1.3 billion and continues to impact other media properties, most notably Once Upon a Time, which airs on Disney-owned ABC (and recapped here by Dan Handley).
These are coming out after we get The Incredibles 2, right? Please?
