Summer 2015 is looking very interesting! So many delicious fresh shows to look forward to, and some fan favorites are returning as well! Whether you’re a fan of good old science fiction or you prefer a supernatural spin on your drama, summer always has a lot to offer. Genre shows always thrive during hiatus and have historically performed much better when the mainstream shows are on break. Here’s a list of new and returning shows that premiere during summer months. We did not include any TV show that premiered before June (if you’re a fan you’re already aware that Game of Thrones and Orphan Black returned with new episodes; you don’t need us to tell you!).

AMC

Season 1 of Fear The Walking Dead, the highly anticipated spinoff of The Walking Dead, is supposed to premiere later this summer and while we do not know the exact date yet, we can anticipate the show premiering some time in August. Set in Los Angeles, the show stars Kim Dickens as Madison, a guidance counselor; Cliff Curtis as Travis, a divorced teacher; Frank Dillane as Nick, Madison’s son who is battling a drug problem; Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Madison’s high-achieving daughter; Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Travis’s ex-wife; Mercedes Mason as Ofelia; Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris, Travis and Liza’s son, who resents his father from their divorce; Rubén Blades as Daniel, Ofelia’s father. The show will be set immediately before the zombie apocalypse started.

ABC

The Whispers (announced last year) will premiere June 1st. This sci-fi series revolves around a mysterious entity invading Earth and using unwitting youngsters to facilitate plans for world domination. The shows stars Barry Sloane (Revenge), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), Derek Webster (Revolution), Lily Rabe (American Horror Story), Brianna Brown (Homeland).

Under the Dome season three premiere will take place on June 25th. Will the viewers receive any answers this year? The show was not very generous with them in the past, so it remains to be seen. In the meantime, fans can look forward to a new character entering the picture and causing trouble for Barbie and Julia.

The CW

Beauty and the Beast will return with all new episodes on June 11th for its third season. Alan Van Sprang (Reign) and Natasha Henstridge (The Secret Circle) will have recurring roles this season as Homeland Security agents Bob and Carol, a “perfectly in-sync” married couple who give Vincent and Cat relationship advice.
