Kansas City Comic Con 2016: What The Force Has United: Cosplay Wedding Draws Crowd
The marriage of Angela Michelle Diegel and Ronald Leroy Stokes, Jr took place Saturday afternoon at Kansas City Comic Con. In attendance were family members, friends, general well-wishers, and a phalanx of costumed personalities from the Star Wars universe and elsewhere who came to be a part of the ceremony. Our SciFi4Me photographer was there, and took pictures of the happy occasion.
Officiating the ceremony was Ron “Panda” Coleman, a well-known figure in the Kansas City cosplay community. Members of the local 501st & R2 Builders Club were on hand as well. After reading their own vows to each other, the happy couple departed under a saber arch of — you guessed it — lightsabers.
