Holy ToonTown! Adam West & Burt Ward as Batman & Robin Again
Hey, hey, Gothamites! It’s time to get your Bat Shark Repellent out of your utility belt because the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder are back in action!
In a panel at a convention in North Carolina with Adam West and Burt Ward, the dynamic duo from the 1966 Batman, it was revealed that they would be reprising their roles in a new animated film. To quote Ward, “You can look forward to a new animated Batman full-length 90 minute feature coming out on the 50th anniversary.”
No word yet on who the villain will be, although my thoughts right now are that a few fiendish foes of felony will be finding a way to try to mess with Gotham. Notable foes that they might be fighting could include The Penguin, Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Egghead, Mr. Freeze, or King Tut.
This movie is so exciting because it is the original Batman and Robin, and because it will be a different style of animated movie than the kind we have been getting. It will be a fun and refreshing movie amidst the dark and gritty animated movies that we have today. You will be able to watch this with your kids without having to review it first.
So we can expect for sure one all new Batventure to call our own that will all take us back to a time when Batman was groovy and did the Batusi!
