Universal Pictures to Bring QUEEN OF HEARTS To Life
Universal Pictures has acquired to the movie rights to the lucrative Queen of Hearts book series. Written by Colleen Oakes, the book series follow the Queen of Hearts, based loosely upon the memorable character in Lewis Carroll’s classic fantasy Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, from a sensitive, conscientious teenage princess to a ruthless, bitter queen of Wonderland. It is said the film will capitalize on the success of such recent fantasy hits such as Maleficent and Snow White and the Huntsman.
Universal hopes Queen will stoke the fire of success it has already seen most notably from The Fast and Furious franchise. Furious 7 alone has already grossed $1.5 billion globally, making it the fourth highest-grossing film of all time, with the highly-anticipated Jurassic World, coming to theaters coming out later this summer.
There is no production information at this time.
