The Geekly with a Twist: May 3rd-9th
Well, what an eventful week. In case you don’t live here in the Midwest (as per us at headquarters), let me inform you: we’ve seen all four seasons this week! As I write this introduction, it’s snowing fat, downy flakes just outside of my window. You’ve got to love the unpredictability of the weather, right? Something predictable? History! It repeats itself! Okay, so that’s the old cliché, but it’s an amazing part of the week: onward with the history!
May 3rd, 1975: Yo-Saff-Bridge, the gorgeous con woman of the ‘verse, Christina Hendricks is born in Knoxville, Tennessee.
May 5th, 1983: Henry Cavill, the newest Man of Steel, is born in Jersey of the Channel Islands.
May 8th, 1981: One of the newest stars of the genre, Stephen Amell (the charismatic man behind the current face of Oliver Queen in the CW hit Arrow) is born in Toronto.
May 9th, 1920: William Tenn, a man better known by his pseudonym of Philip Klass, the prolific author is born in London.

And, of course, your week must be topped off properly. How about a Green Arrow?
- 1 part blue curacao
- 1 part lemon juice
- 1/2 part lime juice
- 1 part tequila (reposado or añejo)
- Ice
Shake all ingredients apart from ice and pour over ice. Serve with a swizzle stick, bonus points if it’s a little (literal) green arrow.
