The Geekly with a Twist: December 14th-20th
In an effort to avoid spoilers about my night last night, I’m just going to go ahead and get on with it. Onward with the history!
December 14th, 2011: Can you believe it was just last year? The community lost one of its greats- Joe Simon passed away at age 98 in New York City.
December 16th, 1967: The ever-gorgeous woman known to international audiences as Éowyn in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Miranda Otto is born in Brisbane, Australia.
December 17th, 1944: The man who played the uncle of Miranda Otto in The Lord of the Rings trilogy (yes, Théoden you goofs!) Bernard Hill is born in Manchester, England.
December 18th, 1981: Joshua Dallas, better known as ‘Charming’ (Once Upon a Time of course!) is born in Louisville, Kentucky.
December 18th, 1988: I know I mentioned this last year, but it really shouldn’t be forgotten. The ever-awesome writer and contributor, Annaleigh Josephs (yup, yours truly!) is born in North Kansas City, Missouri!
December 19th, 1961: Adric from Doctor Who, Matthew Waterhouse is born in Hertford, England.

How about, for a good celebratory Twist this week, a Prince Charming?
- 2 parts champagne (or any basic sparkling will do, extra dry or drier)
- 1 part St. Germaine (an amazing liqueur, worth the splurge)
- A splash of club soda
Mix all using a swizzle stick in a highball glass with ice and enjoy!
