Stars Speak Out

Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis spoke with TVLine about some of the characters and what’s in store for them in season 4. One of the more interesting (and most substantial) things said concerned returning from the “dead” Kate Argent:

[O]ne of the cool things about Kate is that she’s still learning about herself. The Berserkers [new enemies this season] are in her control, but not even she knows why. They’re protective of her, and they essentially do her bidding. But Kate’s real motivation has always been her family, and she believes she’s still part of the family, which is the most important thing to her. She wants to get Chris [Argent] back on her side, and she’ll do anything to make that happen.

All Good Things Must Come to an End

The CW released the synopsis for the season finale Beauty and the Beast:

“Déjà Vu” – CAT FACES A TOUGH DECISION — Cat (Kristin Kreuk) searches for a way to thwart Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and finds her answer in an unexpected place: the journal of her ancestor, which makes Cat fear the only way to stop Gabe is by killing Vincent (Jay Ryan). Nina Lisandrello and Austin Basis also star. Stuart Gillard directed the episode written by Brad Kern and Roger Grant (#222).

Casting News

Witches of East End are adding new faces to their cast as the sophomore season is getting further into production. Two Buffy the Vampire Slayer veterans will be joining the show: James Marsters will guest star as Tarkoff, “an old family friend of Joanna’s (Julia Ormond) who comes back into her life,” meanwhile Bianca Lawson will reccur as a mysterious woman named Eva.

Bitten is casting four new characters to appear in season two of the supernatural show. While no details are known yet, fans of the books the show is based on will find some of the names familiar: Aleister, Paige, Savannah and Ruth will all be showing up in the sophomore season.

NBC released character description for Emerald City, its “event-series” based on The Wizard of Oz:

DOROTHY GALE | A natural, and not waify, beauty scarred by past experiences, Dorothy has patched a life together for herself despite the fact that she sells herself short. Outward insecurity and lack of self-awareness hide the savior survivor that she will discover she truly is.

WEST | This 30something femme is a corruptive — and fearsome — force of nature, a drugged-out virtuoso filled with self-loathing. She’s equal parts compelling and unsettling.

NORTH | In her 30s or 40s, this Type-A manipulative perfectionist has a bit of a “big sister” relationship to West.

HENRY | The series’ male romantic lead, this handsome and well-built gent presents a seemingly open nature that belies a bit of a past. #Denry

THE WIZARD | On the exterior, this 40something male is a charismatic and politically astute leader, earnest in his beliefs and intentions but also an “ends justify the means” sort. His showmanship however conceals a dangerous, and perhaps deadly, seriousness.

EAMONN | The Wizard’s righthand man is unquestioningly loyal. A strong, silent type.

TIP | All of 15 and harboring a secret past, this lass is undergoing the discomfort of discovering her sexuality.

JACK | Tip’s neighbor and closest friend, an adventurous and energetic teen.

OJO | A member of the Munja’kin, a primitive and isolated cross-pollinated culture, this stoic and fearsome man (mid-30s to early 40s) is rather unsympathetic to Dorothy’s plight.

SYLVIA | A “good mimic” is sought to play this odd, feral and haunted 10-year-old.
