New TITANS Cast Additions for Season Two

As season one of Titans hits shelves on home video, there are new cast members coming on both sides of the good vs. evil action for season two.

Esai Morales will join the cast as Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke. Those who follow the comics know that Deathstroke has been a major villainous player in the history of the Teen Titans, and he’s more recently been seen in the Arrowverse (played by Manu Bennett) giving difficulty to Oliver Queen. In the animated Teen Titans, he was a formidable enemy played by Eric Roberts.

In this iteration, Wilson is a former elite soldier whose physiology has been enhanced to near-superhuman levels by government experiments. He’s “on a path of darkness and revenge” according to the show bio, and he’s a “ruthless assassin that never gives up and never misses.”

Morales is joined by Disney Channel alum Chelsea T. Zhang and YouTube personality Chella Man as Slade’s offspring, Rose and Joseph, respectively. Zhang is best known for her work on Andi Mack and Daybreak. Man has garnered attention with the documentation of living “deaf, Genderqueer, Chinese, and Jewish” while sharing a personal account of gender transition.

Rose, also known as Ravager, was subjected to the same experiments as her father, and she seeks out the Titans for protection and to ally with them in a fight against her father. Joseph also goes by the name of Jericho. He’s gentle by nature and mute after Slade failed to rescue him and his vocal cords were cut by assassins. Jericho has the ability to possess a person simply by making eye contact.

Rounding out this block of casting news, Australian actor Joshua Orpin will suit up as Conner Kent (seen very briefly in a bonus scene at the end of season one). He’s described as an “angsty teenager of steel” looking for purpose and the truth behind his past after being experimented on by Cadmus. In the comics, and in the animated adaptations, Conner Kent is a clone of Superman, made to be a weapon controlled by Cadmus.

No premiere date has been set as of yet. The series airs on the DC Universe streaming service.
