Blue Isle Studios, the company known for making Citadel: Forged With Fire, announced a new wizard competition title coming to Steam Early Access.
Broomstick League will debut at TwitchCon 2019 in San Diego, CA the weekend of September 27 – 29, and players will get their first chance to put the game through its paces.
The game is about “magical sports” — players divide into teams and, armed with just a wand and a broomstick, must fly around and use magic to get the magic orb into the opponent’s goal. Like any sports game, you must also protect your own goal from the opponent’s offensive plays. The game play includes dodging enemies, defending the goal, and making “extraordinary plays” using a combination of reflexes, spells, and teammate cooperation.
The game is slated to have character customization, as well as a variety of ways to play. You can engage in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and even 4v4 matches. Players can compete with friends online or with opponents from all over the globe.
Blue Isle has partnered with Virtual Basement to develop the game, which will release on Steam Early Access in January 2020.
