Fans concerned about the release of the new Fate/Grand Order film being pushed back can rest a bit easier.  IG Port studios, Signal.M.D and Production IG confirmed that the adaptation of the “Sixth Singularity” of the popular mobile game, Fate/Grand Order will be released on August 15th.  The movie is called Fate/Grand Order: Wandering Agrateram, and is part of a trilogy of films that will adapt the “Sixth Singularity” arc of the original game. Fans hoping for an English release will have to wait a bit longer, since the creators have only said that it’s coming in “2020”, with no concrete release date. Fate/Grand Order was released on July 30th, 2015, and has been one of the most profitable games ever made. It’s made more money in one release than the entirety of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, grossing a total of $5 billion USD, and was the most discussed game of both 2018 and 2019, beating the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Fortnite. The game is based off of the multimedia franchise Fate/, which debuted in 2004 with it’s first game, known as Fate/stay night. The Fate/ series features characters from both history and mythology fighting each other for the “masters” that summoned them in order to secure the Holy Grail, a magical item that can grant wishes.

The final film of the Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel trilogy releases later this month, on April 25th.
