This week we riff a bit on Doctor Who and how fangirls/fanboys still can’t seem to understand the nature of the 12th Doctor compared to the classic incarnations of the character (long story short: they need to get over Matt and David).

And then we get to our main topic: the conversation/twittersplosion over Denise Dorman’s musings about the changing nature of conventions and whether or not it’s even worth the money to have booth space at a lot of these events anymore. Is cosplay killing the comicon? Is the whole thing just getting too expensive? Is the nature of the audience changing to the point where conventions are no longer about the creators of the material?
