Love him or hate him, Steven Moffat has once again got everyone talking about that episode. The eighth season of Doctor Who went out with a whimper, but not before plenty of bang for the BBC’s buck. Is Clara done? Will they realize they’re lying to each other? Is the Doctor the type of person you want leading you into battle?
The finale gave us everything we could want: tension between the Doctor and his companion, a villain worthy of the Doctor’s cleverness, a Big Bad returning to menace humanity, and plenty of brightly-colored flags planted squarely in Classic Doctor Who — UNIT, the Brigadier, and… well, no. We musn’t spoil it. Just listen.
