From the Editor #1

Greetings and Felicitations!

Or as we say back home: Howdy!

Continuing in the process of really working this web site into a frenzy in 2011, I want to say up front that I’m very, most extremely grateful to all of you who continue to visit. January 2011 has already become our top month for visitors, and we continue to make efforts to make it worth your while to keep coming back.

Coming up this year: interviews with science fiction notables, reviews of the latest movies and TV shows (and maybe an Internet offering or two…), original fiction, science and technology news, and lots of other stuff that could be of interest to the science fiction community. First up: an interview with author Robert Kroese (Mercury Falls, Amazon Encore). You can read the review here.

Newcomers may have noticed that we have both a Twitter and Facebook account. If you do, too, please join the conversations there as well!

Over the last month, our Facebook page has evolved into a place where I can toss out links to news from around the sci-fi universe – items from other sites that are worth sharing. Facebook and this site also feed into the Twitter. In this age of inter-connectivity, it only makes sense that each channel serve a different purpose, and that all of them complement each other.

Another benefit to the WordPress site: comments! You can now comment on articles and let us know what you think. It’s something we weren’t able to do with the old site, and I’m very excited that we can now do this.

I say “we”. There’s a team here at SciFi4Me – even though it’s not too big at this point. Besides me, Tom Sharp is in Texas offering his reviews. And very soon I hope to add another couple of players to the line-up.

So, strap in! More on the way.

Jason P. Hunt

Jason P. Hunt (founder/EIC) is the author of the sci-fi novella "The Hero At the End Of His Rope". His short film "Species Felis Dominarus" was a finalist in the Sci Fi Channel's 2007 Exposure competition.
