DISH is Getting Sneaky
OK, so recently we’ve started getting some rather nice comments on our posts from people who actually take the time to write a comment that’s relevant to the post in question.
Nice. Except…
The back half of these nice, relevant comments turn into a very soft-sell, sneaky pitch for Dish Network.
Now, I get that they need to sell satellite dishes. I do. I have my own products to sell — like Comic Con Carne — but don’t do it in the comments section of my magazine, please. That’s underhanded and sneaky. And they’ll be deleted post haste. This kind of thing just chaps my hide, as we say in Texas.
For those of you who have your own blogs, web sites, etc. let this serve as a “heads up” that Dish — and who know who else? — is employing this tactic to get spam sales pitches onto your sites under the radar. Watch out.
And for those of you posing as fans/commenters who are actually trying to pitch Dish Network: stay out. Any more of these things and Dish Network gets reported. Period.
