Negasonic Teenage Warhead is heading for Seattle. Brianna Hildebrand, who played the snarky, sullen cellphone addict in last year’s R-rated smash Deadpool, is joining the second season cast of The Exorcist.

Hildebrand will play Verity, one of five children living at a group home on an isolated island near Seattle. We learned last week that John Cho will star as Andrew Kim, the former child psychologist who runs the group home.  Verity, as described in Deadline, is “close to 18 years old, her time in the house is coming to an end. Her tough exterior makes it seem as if she doesn’t care, when in reality, she would die for her siblings and Andrew.”

The Exorcist fan panel next Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con will feature executive producers Jeremy Slater and Sean Crouch, along with series stars Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, and Kurt Egyiawan. Let’s hope Sulu and Negasonic Teenage Warhead also make an appearance.
