usa-networkUSA Network has ordered a pilot for Poor Richard’s Almanack. This high-concept thriller drama, titled after Ben Franklin’s yearly almanac, was developed by Legendary Television, which is set to produce with Universal Cable Productions.

Written by executive producer Jim Danger Gray (Orange Is The New Black) and consulting producer Miguel Sapochnik (Game of Thrones), Poor Richard’s Almanack jumps back and forth between present day and a possible future. USA’s EVP Original Programming, Jackie de Crinis, said, “Jim and Miguel have brought us a bold conceptual world using historical references in a modern day society.”

Poor Richard’s Almanack
joins current pilots Falling Water, a supernatural drama, and Paradise Pictures, a period drama, at USA.
