SciFi4Chicks on the Women of DOCTOR WHO, the Russell T Davies Era, Part 1

Doctor Who series 9 is in full swing, but a recent flashback to 10 and Donna in “The Girl Who Died” has the Chicks looking back to the ladies that brought the Doctor back. That’s right, we’re talking Rose and Martha! (Donna is in part 2) It’s time for the Women of Doctor Who, the Russell T Davies era! What do we really think about these ladies, how they were written, and how they were portrayed?

Join Alex, Kammie, and Heather for Women of Genre with a look at the women of Doctor Who, then share your thoughts with the Chicks. Did Davies do right by these women? How was the stage set for Moffat to take over? (We will discuss his era after Clara finishes her run.) How did they affect the Doctor? The Chicks have their say. Listen, then share your thoughts with us.

The panel: Alex Callahan, Kammie Settle, Heather French.

Maybe you could even join the discussion! Upcoming episodes include the women of Harry Potter, Star Wars, and in a Thanksgiving special we give thanks for a few pivotal women in genre. (There’s still time to let us know who YOU are thankful for!) Until then, keep your calls and emails coming!
