New STAR TREK Poster Released

Paramount Pictures has released this poster for the next installment in J.J. Abrams’ version of Star Trek. The official title is Star Trek Into Darkness, and features Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain.

Since we’ve seen him wearing a Starfleet uniform, speculation has been rampant and wild throughout the Internet about what role Cumberbatch is actually playing, the two most likely candidates being Gary Mitchell and Garth of Izar.

Of course, it looks just like the preview artwork for The Dark Knight Rises, and some are already knocking it as a ripoff of that art. Personally, it’s “meh”,but this is how Hollywood markets these things anymore…
