New GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL Trailer from Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll showed off some more footage and key art for its upcoming Crunchyroll Original, The God of High School.

Based off of the WEBTOON series by Yongje Park, The God of High School follows Jin Mo-Ri, a young man from South Korea competing in a magical martial arts tournament to uncover the truth behind the shady organization that runs the contest. The prize? The winner gets one wish granted, no matter how impossible it may seem. Using powers he borrows from the mythical Sun Wukong, he eagerly fights his way through the ranks of challengers who have the power of demons, deities, and everything in between.

Directed by Sunghoo Park (Yuri on Ice!!!), the series will premiere on July 7th, and is one of many Crunchyroll originals, like In/Spectre and the highly controversial High Guardian Spice. Like other Crunchyroll Originals, the series will follow a weekly scheduleNo official episode count has been given for the series, though fans expect the series to follow the usual cour method of determining the first season’s length. (Cour method means that each season is broken down into 3 month chunks with about 11-13 episodes each. If a season is 2 cour, that means that it runs for 6 months and for 22-26 episodes, and so on and so forth.) No English cast has been announced at this time.
