Jason Patric to Arrive in WAYWARD PINES
FOX has announced that Jason Patric (Rush, The Lost Boys, Narc) will lead the second season of Wayward Pines when it returns this summer.
Patrick, who made his movie debut in 1987 with The Lost Boys, will star as Dr. Theo Yedlin, a driven surgeon whose leadership skills prove “invaluable to the residents of Wayward Pines” as the show picks up after the events of the first season. As the residents battle the First Generation’s tyranny, Yedlin awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of the rebellion.
“Jason is an incredibly grounded and believable actor,” said executive producer M. Night Shyamalan. “I’m so excited for audiences to see what he brings to the world of Wayward Pines.”
The show is based on the international best-selling series of books by Blake Crouch. Season one followed a Secret Service agent (Matt Dillon) as he searched for two missing federal agents in the quiet Northwest town. Wayward Pines ranked #1 in broadcast scripted series among adults 18-49 for the summer, averaging an audience of 9.4 million.
