_______________

Recently, we got the news that the CW was moving forward with an animated Vixen, which will take place in Detroit and will live in the same universe as Arrow and The Flash. Prior to that, the network made a pilot order for a new version of Tales From the Darkside.

Originally developed as a half-hour summer series, Darkside will now be an hour-long series to debut in the fall. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have worked with Joe Hill on the new version. Hill, son of horror author Stephen King, has worked with Orci & Kurtzman on Locke & Key, which went to pilot at Fox but never went into production.

The original Tales from the Darkside ran in syndication from 1984 to 1988. It’s an anthology series similar to The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, and Tales from the Crypt.
