BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Movie Gets Writer

Variety reports that the Battlestar Galactica movie has come off life-support and is breathing again.

The film, which will be produced at Universal by Glen Larson — creator of the original series — is back in development with Transcendence writer Jack Paglen on board to pen the screenplay. Paglen is also attached to Prometheus 2 as scribe. This follows the rumored 2009 project that had Bryan Singer’s name attached. Whether this is the same project or a brand new one, no one is saying. Details are also unclear if this would be an extension of either iteration of BSG that ran on television, or if this would be yet another independent adaptation of the original show.
