Travis Richey and the gang at Siv-Art Productions have stepped up their game for season two of Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time, adding Chase Masterson and Robert Picardo to the cast.
Masterson is the latest addition to the cast, playing Annabelle Wagner, “a seemingly innocent girl whose love for Good Boyish may prove to be deadly!” Masterson says she’s wanted to be a part of the project for a while now. “These guys are well-deserving of the audience, awards & acclaim they’re getting — Travis Richey, Eric Loya and their team have such a natural, raucously playful affinity for the genre. As the Brits would say, it’s brilliant, and I’m chuffed to be on board.”
Executive Producer and star Travis Richey (Community, Pretty Little Liars) added, “I am practically vibrating with excitement over Chase Masterson joining the cast! With all respect to Robert Picardo, Deep Space Nine was my biggest Trek love. I came into TNG late, but I was watching DS9 from day one, and loved every bit of it. Chase as Leeta was so much more than a beautiful face. Her portrayal exuded an innocence and strength that is perfect for Annabelle.”
Picardo will be playing Bernard, who will figure into the season quite a bit — as a new antagonist? — while rocking some steampunk, if the teaser is any indication:
Says Richey of Picardo’s joining the cast: “I’m over the moon about being able to work with Robert Picardo. I’ve been aware of him almost my whole life, from watching The Wonder Years and China Beach with my mom to his turn as Johnny Cab in Total Recall to, of course, one of the absolute best parts of Star Trek: Voyager! And now, after having shot his scenes for the Season 2 Prequel Episode, I can say that he is one of the kindest, most generous actors I’ve ever had the pleasure of being threatened by!”
The show has also added Big Bang Theory‘s Mayim Bialik as the voice of B.O.O.T.H. She and Richey have worked together before, and happened to be on a plane together recently, where the discussion of the show led to her joining the cast. “I am thrilled to be part of the Inspector Spacetime world,” said Mayim. “As a Doctor Who fan, Inspector Spacetime satisfies all of my theatrical and nerdy desires. Putting on an admittedly poor fake British accent and working with the awesome and talented Travis Richey made me feel like a bonafide nerd-girl.”
