Patty Jenkins May Fly the Invisible Jet for WB
Just days after the departure of Michelle MacLaren, sources tell Variety that Warner Bros. has made a deal with Patty Jenkins to helm the Wonder Woman solo film.
Jenkins, who directed Charlize Theron’s Oscar-winning performance in Monster, would be directing a superhero movie after almost taking the chair on Thor: The Dark World, which fell through over “creative differences”, just as MacLaren’s deal with Warner Bros. dissolved over the Amazon Princess.
MacLaren, in the meantime, is said to be a candidate for Marvel’s Captain Marvel (as is Angelina Jolie). Variety‘s sources say that MacLaren’s departure would not affect the plan to begin production in the fall.
