Whew!

Taxes are done. Spring is just around the corner. The office has been moved.

It’s time to get busy.

Now, after our birth pangs, I’d welcome growth pains. Since moving over onto WordPress, we’ve gotten more views, which is great. And our Twitter and Facebook friends continue to multiply, which is also wonderful (even though the two groups seem to be mostly mutually exclusive…).

SciFi4Me started with one goal in mind: to provide a one-stop destination for the science fiction community to gather ’round the fire and get all of their news, reviews, interviews, and the etc. in one place. Whether it’s our own story, or a link to someone else (like io9 or GeekTyrant or TrekMovie), we wanted to provide the best way to get everything – comic books, novels, movies, TV, DVD & Blu-Ray, interviews, conventions, science and technology – everything in one place.

There’s one thing missing: the science fiction community.

I’d like to invite you to help us grow. If you’re going to a convention, take pictures. Even better: shoot video! If you see a genre movie, tell us what you think of it. And if you get a whiff of some big (or little) story out there, let us know.

It’s going to take time, but I think we’ve started to hit our stride, and there’s plenty more on the way this year. So stay tuned! And tell your friends.

We don’t bite.

  • I’d love to help, however being in South Asia (for now) I’m kind of geographically challenged when it comes to cons and fests. *sighs.

However, when I do get back into the thick of things, I’ll definitely keep my eye out. You guys have been one of the sites I follow pretty closely and enjoy all your content. I am generalizing here to be brutally honest, but I know you’ll ‘ppreciate it. 😀

Some feedback: I’d love to see you guys cover some of the awesomer, cooler must-read webcomics out there. This suggestion has nothing to do with the fact that my own webcomic will be launched this summer, (the blog is available on WP [/shameless plug] 😐 ) but is sort of relevant. The influx of WC’s out there makes me sort of lost in terms of checking out any decent superhero/adventure/scifi style webcomics. Not counting the humour heavy daily doses like CYANIDE AND HAPPINESS, THEATRE HOPPER, MULTIPLEX, and so on.

Anyways, keep on Trekin… you’ll see me ramble on in your posts often. Deal with it.

    • Web comics are definitely on our radar. And that includes the motion comics that have recently been released from Marvel and DC. As this year progresses, we’re going to expand our coverage in many directions, and that’s certainly one worth examining.

      Thanks for the feedback!
