Danny Pudi to Get STRANGE CALLS
Community star Danny Pudi has a new gig: lead in the new comedy Strange Calls at NBC.
The show is based on an Australian series written by Blake McCormick about a down-on-his-luck police officer who gets transferred to a rural town where he finds bizarre supernatural goings-on. Playing the elderly night watchman is Patrick Brammall, who reprises his role from the original Aussie version.
Pudi is the second Community cast member to book a comedy pilot. Ken Jeong has been tapped to star in ABC’s Dr. Ken. Both are committed as series regulars on Community through the end of the upcoming sixth season on Yahoo.
