Except for that part when she goes all the way back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters to ask for backup and have a few awkward conversations on her way out…

Holy digressions, Batman! Sorry I missed the fun this week. My theory on Jemma needing to return: If it were to obtain scientific data or an infinity stone, she would be convincing SHIELD to back her and maybe come with her for protection.
I think that her reason to return is much more primal (she’s now a part of the place and drawn to it) or personal (some indigent species who helped her–they don’t need to be saved, but she needs to go back to be with them, or has become one of them).
…and I’m with you guys: something went wrong with Baby Struecker’s assassination plot to kill Andrew, who is NOT dead….yet.
