X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Adds Jubilee

BANNER_News2013

X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has posted this news on his Instagram feed, announcing the addition of Lana Condor as Jubliee.

Condor has nothing listed on her IMDb listing, but in this day and age where IMDb doesn’t always get everything right, and not every piece of work ends up listed there, that’s not to say she’s inexperienced.

The daughter of Chinese immigrants, Jubilation Lee grew up in Beverly Hills and had the makings of an Olympic gymnast before her parents were killed in a case of mistaken identity. Discovering her powers at an early age, she’s been the frequent partner/sidekick for Wolverine, and the two have a strong friendship based on a father/daughter dynamic the two never found elsewhere.

In her early days, Jubilee had the power to generate plasma blasts, what she calls “fireworks”. The energy blasts vary in intensity and follow her psychic command toward her targets.

She probably won’t be a vampire this time…
