Todd Tucker, founder of Illusion Industries, is no stranger to make-up and creature effects, with work going all the way back to Hook and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. 2013 looks to be a rather busy year for him, too, with new projects coming out soon. You’ve probably heard of them: The Iceman, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Smurfs 2.
We got a chance to talk with Tucker about his work, his company, and the state of the film industry. Is Hollywood going to remain the filmmaking capital? Or is location production going to be the standard from now on?
