The Tracking Board reports that TBS has picked up Nightmare Time, a new scripted horror comedy from Parks and Recreation alumnus Aubrey Plaza.
The show’s logline: “Set in Plaza’s Nightmare Clinic, celebrity guests check in to overcome recurring nightmares. Thanks to advanced technology, we’re able to peer into their restless minds, and witness their nightmares in real time. But what is ‘real’ anyway? Maybe it’s all just a nightmare in Aubrey’s mind. One endless nightmare that could eventually destroy her and the entire world.”
The nightmares, according to TBS, could be based on modern society events as well as horror genre tropes and archetypes.
Plaza, who will appear in FX’s new X-Men series Legion, will star and executive produce. Writing the show with her are Darcy Fowler, Kieran Valla, and Seth Kirschner.
